Meio Ambiente
The Hospital viValle, in addition to comply with the Health Services Waste Management Plan's demands, required by Anvisa and CONAMA, keeps sustainable and respect attitudes, as well as the responsible use of natural resources.
Since 2009, viValle keeps a partnership with the NGO Trevo, which recycles the kitchen oil, used to prepare meals served in the Hospital. Twice a month, approximately 70 oil liters are accumulated, then picked up by the NGO, and transformed in biofuel.
In July 2011, the Hospital received the Green Stamp for Pro-sustainability certificate by Instituto Mais - a non-profit private institution, dedicated to the social and environmental training and research. The recognition was a result of the ASP - STERRAD® system implantation, used to sterilize materials.
The average consumption of a conventional steam equipment to sterilize materials is 400 liters of water and 17KW of energy per cycle. This equipment doesn't use water in the process and consumes only 6% of a steam cycle energy. That is, the new system allows the responsible use of the natural resources.
In 2014, the Hospital viValle received the appreciation of the Green It Furukawa Program, which promotes the rational use of natural resources through a proper waste treatment, deriving from the disposal of structure cable products from the computer networks. In the occasion, 91kg of material was recycled, then avoiding that about 45.5 kgs of waste contaminated with heavy metals were deposited in industrial landfills, reducing the extraction of 8.6 tons of copper ore and reducing the consumption of 870 kWh, energy enough to supply 6 houses during one month.
viValle also contributes to the nature preservation, improving the use of resources. As well as practicing the paper recycle, the hospital is supplied by an artesian well, and the sewage goes through own filtration system, which ensures the preservation of water resources.
Plano Diretor
In 2008, a detailed expansion project started, with the purpose of guiding the institution in a new growth stage.
In 2009, the hospital extended in 30% the number of admission beds, as well as a new comfort area, new exclusive reception for admission, new dressing rooms for employees, as well as the extension of administrative areas and improvements in the support areas for Emergency Assistance and ICU.
In 2011, the works went on, with 100m² reform and 40m² extension of Emergency Assistance, extending in 50% the number of beds. In December this year, the Hospital viValle became part of the Rede D’Or São Luiz, one of Brazil's biggest private hospital chains, in an investment potentiation move for medical excellence.
In 2012, new fruits were harvested, with the ICU extension, construction of a new Advanced Cardiovascular Center and the inauguration of a new IEP auditorium.
In 2013, a new Emergency Assistance structure was inaugurated and the viValle's Expansion Plan works started.
In the first half of 2014, the Hospital inaugurated 10 more admission beds and a new operation room.
In 2015, the expansion works continue and with the conclusion, viValle will go from the current 5,03700m² to 22,883m². This is an extension not only for the area, but also for the hospital structure as a whole, which will have 150 beds (being 40 in ICUs), a growth of more than 300%.
This number accounts for more than one goal to viValle; it is a commitment with the health in the region and with patients, employees and suppliers.
